I know this because I have a 330m that takes like 35 hours, and it has yet to complete a task. Not one. So if you add up that ive been restarting my computers once a day, thats alot of missed tasks and waisted electricity. just sayin, rosetta does it 2.

Maybe it's not reaching the first checkpoint.

You can click the properties of the task and see when it last checkpointed (CPU at last checkpoint against CPU time).
Shut down/hibernate just after it checkpoints.

well i looked it up and it seems to be a known problem with boinc. The fix is to install a virtual machine on your computer that never itself reboots, and you can still reboot your computer. I dont get how it works personally but they say it does. I have premium windows 7 so after i looked up how to install that i gotta install sunmicro systems version instead. I think it should be along the same guidelines, pretty simple stuff. should add to ppd and save on electricity.
