Hi, all

I installed YDL and it started working perfectly from day one.

Until I got a "redundant result":
257000 191828 16 Apr 2009 23:01:14 UTC 21 Apr 2009 3:35:17 UTC Over Redundant result Cancelled by server 0.00 --- ---

I understand a "redundant result" is a decision from the server to withdraw a given task for whatever reason (perhaps it's no longer useful or even incorrect), that is, that it hadn't anaything to do with me.

The problem is that, since then, it hasn't downloaded or processed anything. Internet connectivity seems to work correctly from the console (Firefox). I tried "retry communications" many time, to no avail.

This is my page:

http://www.gpugrid.net/results.php?hostid=31702

Any clue?

Thanks

I have never seen a dc project so keen on not only preventing volunteers from contributing to it but also preventing users machines contributing to other projects that may actually be worthwhile. The code on this project is so subpar as to be a sad joke. You are better off leaving this project asap unless you want to be a full time unpaid beta tester.

Hi Osezno_,

Thanks for reporting; we are investigating the reason why you get no new WUs - it may be related with the increased turnaround time. Can you please paste the messages you see in the console after a "retry communications"? Please also try to "reset project" in the project tab.

However, your WU was cancelled because it passed the 5-days deadline - this is expected. (It did not waste CPU time, because the server refrains from cancelling running WUs.)

regards!

I think you made your point now in several forum threads. If you don't have anything else to say to participants, who are reporting errors to a beta project, than leave and crunch for Folding, please keep your opinion private...

So noted. I will lay off and disappear. I made the mistake when I setup the ps3 and because it is remote I have to live with it for several months. Just a correction though this project is actually alpha. It really should have a lot more in-house testing before it was released to the public and trips up other good faith voluteers such as myself. Thus my frustration and why I didn't just switch without a word much earlier. Good luck in the future and the forum will get quiet with a bit more testing instead of just throwing code over the fence.

Yeah, that seems.

I gotta another "redundant", and a very short WU. While current will take (according to the task manager, which is pretty unreliable) more than 100h.
